Helen Taylor-Weekes is our lead Acupuncturist at the Hatfield Practice. Helen is known for her bubbly, friendly, and supportive nature, and she will help you feel at ease very quickly. Over time, Helen has developed her unique style of gentle yet effective acupuncture techniques. With over 35 years of experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Helen has refined her approach. Helen brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice.
Helen provides patients with a holistic and natural approach to health, believing wholeheartedly that “Acupuncture energies and rebalances the healing power within each of us.” She has a kind and experienced understanding of people and the journey toward health and well-being.
Helen is particularly passionate about Acupuncture for fertility, assisting both men and women with fertility issues, IVF, and the complexity of related concerns. Helens’ treatments provide a professional, safe and effective way to prepare the body for pregnancy and facilitate recovery after childbirth.
Known for her excellent listening skills and warm heart, Helen often forms close relationships with her patients. She encourages open communication and provides emotional support when needed. Helen has trained with Jane Lyttleton, a leading expert in the field of Acupuncture for fertility. Helen has successfully integrated Chinese Acupuncture with Western medicine and IVF procedures over time. In passing, Helen has trained with Zita West, our prominent fertility specialist in the UK.
In other areas, Helen explains that Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese acupuncture are particularly beneficial for issues such as muscle and joint pain, trapped nerves, Bell’s palsy, shingles, arthritis, and various medically related ailments.
In addition to her expertise in Acupuncture, Helen has trained in forensic science as a healthcare advisor and has taught as a chemistry lecturer. She is a devoted wife and mother to six grown children and has ten grandchildren. Along with her husband Ian, an Osteopath at the practice, Helen successfully helped establish the Hatfield Practice in the 1990s.

Easy Parking and a Smooth Start
We understand the importance of keeping things simple and easy. Hatfield Practice offers free, hassle-free parking for up to eight or nine vehicles in our driveway and additional parking spaces along Ground Lane, Hatfield, Hertfordshire. For those popping in for an hour, there are two or three marked one-hour bays just across the road. When you arrive, our friendly receptionist will greet you with a smile and provide simple contact forms to get you settled in no time. Overground Trains from King’s Cross to Hatfield take about twenty minutes. We are about a ten-minute walk from Hatfield Train Station.
