Dora Hotzi

Osteopath and Physiotherapist

Dora Hotzi – Osteopath | Physio

Unusually, Dora Hotzi is qualified as a Physiotherapist and an Osteopath, having gained a Master’s degree in Osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy nearly twenty years ago. She is known for being extremely friendly and providing professional, relaxed, highly effective treatments. Dora has a particular interest in functional biomechanics. In 2011, she completed the prestigious Grey Institute for Functional Transformation (GIFT) program, earning the title of Fellow of Applied Functional Science (FAFS). Additionally, she is one of the few practitioners in the UK certified in Functional Manual Rehabilitation, a technique that involves hands-on approaches to support the body’s natural movement patterns.

Dora Hotzi treats a variety of conditions using traditional Physiotherapy and Osteopathy techniques, as well as functional exercises tailored to each client’s specific needs to help maintain the effects of treatment. She has a keen interest in sports rehabilitation and injury prevention.

Dora explains,

Dora explains that “Having patients with completely different problems and goals is a fantastic challenge. Transitioning from a rehabilitation session with an elderly patient recovering from a hip replacement to creating an exercise routine for a young man with scoliosis, and then addressing a whiplash injury case, followed by a performance enhancement session for golf, keeps me dynamic and creative in my work at Hatfield Practice. I strive to make each treatment session individualised, and witnessing patients achieve their personal goals is priceless.”

Dora Hotzi also encourages her patients to take an active role in their treatment. “Determining the exact aims for each patient is essential to keeping them motivated. I always tell my patients that I only have them for a short period, so they need to put in some effort throughout the week. Collaborating closely is always the most effective and efficient way to achieve our goals.”
