Q
My husband and I are about to go through our third cycle of IVF and I want to do everything I can to increase our chances of success. What are your thoughts on acupuncture?
A
The British Acupuncture Council (BAC) and The Welwyn & Hatfield Practice recommends that women trying IVF should consider fertility-focused acupuncture. It is thought it may make the lining of the uterus more receptive to receiving an embryo, help regulate the menstrual cycle and encourage better egg quality. In the light of this report, the BAC maintains that acupuncture helps hundreds of women to conceive.
If you’d like to investigate further, ask the advice of IVF specialist or perhaps contact Helen Taylor – Weekes Acupuncture & Fertility Support at The Welwyn & Hatfield Practice this acupuncture clinic has a special interest in infertility.
